Hut site in Com Dhíneol Theas

In rough pasture, in the uppermost field of the present system. An oval hut of corbelled drystone construction with a later sheep-shelter built in the interior. A walled passage, 2m long, leads up to the S facing entrance. D: 3.8 x 3.55m. H: 2.5m. T: .9m. Almost abutting its NE side is a large projecting rock outcrop which has been used as the roof of a small drystone-built animal shelter, 1m in maximum dimension. Directly N of this latter is another small rock-shelter, and a 3rd lies 18m to NE. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey.
