Hut site in Canalough

On a level terrace, on the N side of an E-W rough pasture ridge with occasional outcropping rock, beside the seashore on the S side of Blackball Harbour. The remains of a rectangular hut site (5.1m N-S; 2.7m E-W) defined by a bank (Wth 0.9m; H 0.35m) of earth and stone. Some of the stones protrude above the top of the bank. There is an entrance (Wth 0.4m) near the N end of the E bank. An E-W bank of earth and stone (Wth 0.4m; H 0.15m) divides the interior into two similar-sized compartments. The interior of both compartments is uneven. There is a hut site (CO127-050009-) 6m to the W and another hut site (CO127-050011-) is c. 15m to the E.
