Hut site in Bartragh Island

In the estuary of the River Moy, located an elevated spit of land that forms a narrow peninsula extending S from the SW shore of Bartragh Island. D-shaped area (4m NW–SE; 2m NE–SW) defined on the curving side by a low sod-covered bank (Wth 0.8-1m; int. H 0.35-0.4m; ext. H 0.1m) and on the straight side by the almost vertical scarp that defines the W side of the small ridge or peninsula. The interior space appears slightly sunken. This may be the surviving half of an originally circular hut site, the SE half of which has been eroded away. There is another possible hut site (MA022-116003-) located 11m to SE.
