What is recorded here

Ruined cashel KE042-085---- lies on the NW slopes of Croaghmarhin and contains the remains of 2 huts. (2) (KE042-085002-) This hut is circular in plan and measures c. 1.8m in diameter internally. The remains of the wall protrude only very slightly above the ground surface and it is not clear whether the visible stones represent the full width of the wall or only its inner face. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 542. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 7 August 2013
