Hut site in Baile An Chnocáin (tc Cill Chuain)

On lower W slopes of Brandon mountain. A circular corbelled drystone hut incorporated into modern field wall, with a rectangular enclosure, probably a later sheep-fold, abutting its W side. Three wall niches and a blocked wall-chamber/Man-made underground passage. D: 3.5m. H: 2.45m. T: 1.36m. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
