An Fearann Iarthach holds a circular hut site where a blocked underground passage still waits behind a lintel. The denuded wall encloses a place local memory calls a burial ground, yet it may have begun as a stone fort or early church. Someone cut that passage through solid rock, then closed it against the sky. Whether they buried dead, kept treasure or hid from violence, the stone chamber remains sealed and patient.

K106-118002- is known locally as a burial ground. It may have originally been a stone fort or an early ecclesiastical site. It is roughly circular in plan and is enclosed by a denuded stone wall. The poorly preserved foundations of a circular hut (KE106-118003-) abut the inner face of the enclosing element at SW; it has overall dimensions of 7.7m N-S x 8.6m E-W. Adjacent to this, at N, appears to be the lintelled ope to a blocked Man-made underground passage; this measures .85m x .45m. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
