Leitreach Ard in County Galway, Ireland holds Tobar Cholmcille, a smooth hollow on rocks exposed only at low water. Seaweed buries the pothole, and the sea returns to cover it before most people leave the coast. Colmcille may have prayed there, drunk there, or simply passed by while the tide waited. The well keeps its own hours, revealing itself briefly as if remembering the shape of devotion.

On rocks exposed at low water off E point of the island. Known locally as Tobar Cholmcille, it consists of a natural smooth hollow or pothole, obscured by masses of seaweed. Not visited. Linked to St. Columba (Colmcille), the well is associated with early Christian pilgrimage traditions in the region. The site's isolation and natural formation reflect common characteristics of holy wells attributed to saints in Atlantic Scotland.
