Holy well in Leitreach Ard is a smooth cylindrical hollow cut into slanting rock beside the Galway coast, known locally as Tobar Cholmcille and crowded each 9th June. People have gone there for centuries to drink, pray or be remembered, while the sea keeps the small inlet hidden most of the year.

Below HWM in a small inlet c. 130m SW of point where the td. boundary meets the coast. Known locally as Tobar Cholmcille, it was noted by O'Flaherty in 1684 (Hardiman 1846, 63). It consists of a smooth cylindrical hollow (D 0.18m) in a slanting rock. It is widely known and much frequented on 9th June. Not visited. Linked to St. Columba (Colmcille), the well is associated with early Christian pilgrimage and is noted historically for its sacred significance. Local tradition and historical references suggest it was a site of veneration, possibly connected to healing or spiritual renewal.
