What is recorded here

Castlecraig is a Highland farmstead where stone walls and a broken roof still mark the shape of domestic life. It appeared on an 1880 survey, yet vanished from later mapping, suggesting the countryside itself forgot the name. The buildings may have housed people, stored grain or sheltered horses through brutal winters. They disappeared not through destruction but through neglect, erased when the last hand stopped moving through them.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlecraig as Building (period Unknown), Enclosure (period Unknown). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
