Achargary

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Achargary as Cairn (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Achargary is a Neolithic cairn, likely dating to the Early to Middle Neolithic period (circa 3500–2500 BCE). Such cairns are significant as they represent some of the earliest collective burial and ceremonial monuments in the Scottish landscape.
