Terraced four-bay two-storey house, built c.1880, with timber shopfront front (north) elevation. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystack and uPVC rainwater goods. Rendered walls with render sill course to first floor. Square-headed window openings with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows to first floor and uPVC casement window to ground floor. Timber shopfront comprising fascia and cornice, set over square-headed window opening with uPVC display window. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door and single-pane overlight. Fronting directly onto street.

This modestly designed building is greatly enlivened by the retention of various key historic features including timber sash windows and its simple shopfront. The commercial function of the building with residential accommodation above was once a common feature in Irish towns but is an arrangement that is becoming increasingly rare.
