What is recorded here

Terraced four-bay three-storey former house, built c.1840, having timber shopfront. Now in use as shop. Pitched roof with rendered chimneystacks, eaves course and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls having render quoins. Diminishing camber-headed window openings with render sills and two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows. Recent timber shopfront comprising channelled pilasters surmounted by moulded architrave, frieze and cornice with fabric canopy. Square-headed window openings having fixed single-pane timber-framed display windows over rendered stall risers. Square-headed door openings having timber glazed and timber panelled doors with single-pane and louvred overlights.
A handsome house forming part of an historic terrace in the town centre. Its scale, form and proportions are in keeping with the buildings to the east and west. The camber-headed openings and timber sliding sash windows add character to both building and streetscape.
