Outlined is a D-shaped cliff-edge fort on Greenish Island, County Limerick, where the River Deel joins the Shannon. Its earth and stone bank still stands beside pasture, facing open water and the risk of drowning. A person may have watched boats, kept fire, or simply marked the edge of the world. The rivers have carried much of that life away, but the outline remains sharp enough to see from above.

On S side of Greenish Island, in pasture, near the confluence of the River Deel and the River Shannon.
