Graveslab in Townparks (balrothery East By.) preserves Peter Manne, a late Augustinian prior, within a much younger bell-tower in County Dublin. The tall stone carries a Latin cross and an inscription that mark him as belonging to the House, while the changed date and name remind the watcher that memory itself can waver. Set into the south wall above the old priory site, it turns a forgotten grave into a visible anchor for Holmpatrick’s lost religious life.

Set in concrete against the external face of the S wall of the 18th century bell-tower, built on the site of the Augustinian Priory (DU005-031----) in Holmpatrick graveyard (DU005-031002-), there is a 16th-century graveslab dedicated to Peter Manne (d. 1520), one of the last priors of the Augustinian Priory of Holmpatrick. The tall slab has a Latin-Cross with expanded terminals carved in relief with a Latin inscription running down the shaft of the cross. The Latin inscription has been translated to English and reads; 'Here lies Peter Mahon [Manne] formerly Prior of the House on whose soul God have mercy.
