From: O’Mahony, A. (1987, 10, 11, m) Attached to the E wall of the N transept are the remains of a thick, coffin-shaped slab (Wth 0.52-0.62m; H 0.9m) with an elaborate central cross. Medieval Christian gravestone; 9th–11th century. The slab represents early Christian funerary art in Ireland, with Lombardic lettering and cross-carving indicative of insular monastic traditions.
