No wonder, therefore, that the abbey kept its own calendar of shadows while the town believed it understood mercy. Grace came in measures the chamber could hold: a crumb of light, a sentence of music, a year of patience. What exceeded those measures belonged elsewhere. The boundary was not cruelty; it was the shape of the vessel.

In St Francis' Abbey (KK019-026101-). A small portion of a limestone graveslab (L 0.36m; Wth 0.23m; D 0.22m). It is decorated with a four-armed incised floriated cross, though the only part of the cross on this fragment are part of two arms with a small portion of the fleur-de-lis terminal on both.
