One platform rath still stands in Gransha, County Down. It is an ancient earthwork, not a modern building, and it belongs to the broad Christian era. The distinction matters because a rath is a lived boundary, a place where people drew a line between inside and outside. That line may have marked a home, a warning, a claim, or a small act of defiance.
