Described by Bence-Jones (1988, 145) as, 'An old farmhouse to which Georgian reception rooms were added'. The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage assigns a date of c. 1725 to the earlier farmhouse, with the later additions being added c. 1800 (http://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=KK&regno=12400901 (viewed 19 February 2018)).
