What is recorded here

Half a kilometre from the last house, a low earthen ring still marks the field. It is the kind of place people called a fairy fort because it refused to explain itself. A person may have lived there, loved there, and vanished into the story the land tells. The boundary cut through later, but the circle remained, waiting to be seen again.

On high ground in grassland with ringfort (LI035-041----) 50m to NW.
