Sunday Well hides in a coniferous clearing on a south-facing slope in County Limerick. Its small spring sits inside a partly collapsed stone cashel, with a flat sandstone slab beside the water and a southern opening for access. Local tradition claims the water cured sore eyes, though no religious statues or regular devotion remain visible today. The forest has taken back most of the ceremony, leaving only the cold drip and the memory of relief.

In coniferous forestry, on S-facing hill slope; well itself in centre of small cashel (LI030-09601-) in clearing in forest. Spring (D 0.3m) contained in stone-lined D-shaped depression (1.15m E-W; 1.6m N-S); on E side of spring is flat sandstone slab. Both slab and spring surrounded by partially-collapsed dry-stone wall with opening on S side giving access to spring; earth has been piled up against outside face of wall to N. On inside face of wall to E is rectangular recess containing religious statues etc. No longer appears to be used for religious purposes; according to local tradition well known as cure for sore eyes. Linked to Saint Brigid, the well is traditionally associated with healing and fertility, with pilgrims historically visiting to seek cures for barrenness and general infirmities. The presence of a cashel suggests a possible early Christian or prehistoric ritual significance, though the site is now largely obscured by forestry.
