What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Gortanure, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies an oval grass-covered area on a north-facing knoll, measuring 26 metres northeast-southwest and 19.5 metres northwest-southeast. An earthen bank, 3.5 to 4.2 metres wide, defines the perimeter except where removed southeast-southwest, while a two-metre entrance faces east-northeast. Remnants of a northwest-southeast field wall still bisect the interior.
