What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned to suggestion. The soil may have held a farm, a temple or a child’s clay castle before forgetting its own shape. People still point at the ridge and refuse to joke, as if the ground remembers what testimony has lost.
