Pitfield in Glenballythomas is a pitfield in Glenballythomas, County Roscommon, Ireland. Pits measuring 10-15m long, 2-3m wide and 0.5m deep align east-west across a 1 km square area on the south-facing slope of Rathcroghan ridge. They shadow the banks of the southwest field system.
On the S-facing slope of Rathcroghan ridge. Pits (dims c. 10-15m x 2-3m; D c. 0.5m) generally aligned E-W and frequently shadowing the banks of the SW part of the field system (RO022-057003-) cover an area of c. 1 km square. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
