Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Glenballythomas is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Glenballythomas, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a low east-west ridge on the floor of a northwest-southeast valley at the bottom of the south-facing slope of Rathcroghan ridge. The D-shaped grass-covered area measures 38 metres east-west and 25.3 metres north-south, with traces of a fosse on the west and north and a scarp on the north and east. An east-west field bank cuts across the south edge, and a north-south relict field bank bisects the interior.

On a low E-W ridge on the floor of a NW-SE valley at the bottom of the S-facing slope of Rathcroghan ridge. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 38m E-W; 25.3m N-S) defined by traces of a fosse (Wth of top 5m; D 0.2-0.5m) W-N, and a scarp (H 0.3-0.6m) N-E. It is truncated by an E-W field bank at S and does not survive visibly S of this feature. It is also bisected by a N-S relict field bank. Archaeological testing (03E1850) immediately to the NE during 2003 failed to produce any related material (Read 2006e). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
