The precise location of a House in townland of Garristown has not been identified. The 1654-56 Civil Survey of Dublin recorded stated that in Garristown on the lands of William Talbot of Robertstown, Co. Meath an Irish Papist, there stood; 'one house & backside lett at ye said time for five shillings p[er] ann[um] & now wast[e]' (Simington 1945, 17).
