What is recorded here

Raheen is a subcircular fairy fort in County Galway, measuring thirty-three metres north-south and thirty-one metres east-west. Its two earthen banks and central ditch still cut through undulating pastureland, though rubble and timber now bury the northeastern edge. The western inner bank remains the clearest marker of the old shape. A hidden underground passage may still breathe beneath the grass, waiting for someone brave enough to listen for its rhythm.

In undulating pastureland. Subcircular rath (33.7m N-S; 31m E-W), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is best preserved from SE through W to NW. From NE to SE piles of rubble and timber have been dumped along and on top of it. The fosse and outer bank survive from S through W to N.
