Hut site in Garranebane

On an artificial terrace, high on the W slopes of Bentee. A well-built corbelled hut of circular plan, best preserved at E. Two slabs flank the exterior of the hut at NE and may have been part of the entrance; at its inner end a slab with a central depression may have been the pivot-stone for a door-post. A rectangular wall-niche is located in the interior at E. Externally at SE is a pillar stone of uncertain function. D: 4m x 3.7m. H: 1.1m. T: 1m.
