Cairn is an unclassified ancient monument in County Mayo, Ireland. It stands as a quiet marker of human presence in the landscape, perhaps built to honour the dead, mark a boundary or guide travellers through open ground. Its exact purpose has faded, but the stones still hold the shape of that forgotten intention.
