Long Island

Long Island is an islet in County Galway, Ireland. Perhaps the Atlantic throws itself at its stones until dawn, leaving salt on the grass and foam in the hollows. Maybe a fisher rowed past at low tide, measured the water with a pole, and marked the place only as the long one.
