What is recorded here

Gallaun is a tall standing stone on the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, trapped inside a later earthwork called Cromwell's Fort. The prehistoric upright predates the fort by millennia, creating a strange layer where ancient human intention meets a much younger military boundary. Its base holds packing stones and a leaning slab, evidence that people kept returning to steady it against time and weather.

On lower slopes of Adrigole Mountain with commanding view to S. Rectangular stone aligned NE-SW (H 2m; 0.9m x 0.5m).
