This is the record for the western of two 'burnt mounds which have been interpreted as fulacht fiadh' partially exposed during archaeological testing at Fota Wildlife Park- see unpublished report 'Proposed Extension to Fota Wildlife Park Archaeological Testing Report (Licence no. 12E312)' by Annette Quinn, Tobar Archaeological Services (October 2012).
