An irregular mound (5m x 5m) of heat-shattered stones and some charcoal was excavated in 2002 prior to the construction of a housing estate (Kiely 2004c, 218). The mound overlay two troughs, 2m apart, one of which was subcircular (diam. c. 1.7m) and contained a small concentration of animal bones in its fill.
