What is recorded here

Gateway, extant 1900, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of drag edged dragged limestone ashlar piers on moulded cushion courses on submerged plinths having cornices on blind friezes on stringcourses below capping supporting arrow head-detailed wrought iron double gates with drag edged dragged limestone ashlar outer piers having shallow pyramidal capping supporting arrow head-detailed wrought iron railings. Now disused. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Foulkscourt House.
A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an opposing gate lodge (see 12400815) with the resulting ensemble making pleasing visual statement in a rural street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Foulkscourt House estate.
