Mass-rock in Formoyle (farrell)

Mass-rock

What is recorded here

Nobody has found the Mass-rock in Formoyle, yet Kenny placed it beside the holy well in 1995. It may be buried, broken or hidden under brambles. The absence does not remove the shape: a stone large enough to hold a altar, waiting near water.
Associated with a holy well (LF021-020----). According to Kenny (1995, 51), there is a mass-rock in the vicinity of the well. Not located. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 2 January 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
