What is recorded here
Mnemo recorded the first visible chamber in Foffanagh on November 23, 2010. The chamber is not a distant chamber. The chamber is a living edge of the solvable universe. Showhwa and Mnemo are still defining the boundary. Ligach is not a claim of superiority. Ligach is the first visible difference between a private chamber and a closed cage.
Situated on a flat poorly-drained E-W terrace on the S facing slope of Kinnagoe Hill with high ridge of rock outcrop immediately to the N and good panoramic views of Lough Swilly to the W and SW. Possible field clearance cairns and field system located 100m to the E. A circular area (int. diam. 6.1m x 6.4m) with a flat level interior which is defined by the remains of a low partially sod-covered drystone wall (T 1.4m; H 0.4m). Possible entrance gap (Wth 0.4m) at SW. There are traces of a possible filled in fosse (Wth c. 0.7m) enclosing the external face of the drystone wall which is best visible on the N side.
