Field boundary in Graignagreana

This peat-covered platform, on the S side of Knocknabreeda, contains a number of pre-bog walls and two enclosures. Up to ten stretches of walls run in a N-S or E-W direction, and they vary from 10m to 40m long. The peat varies in depth, and the walls are exposed to a maximum height of .5m above its surface. The subcircular enclosure (KE083-009----) at N is roughly built and its wall survives to an average height of .4m. Its internal diameter is 6m, and a gap in the wall at E, .6m wide, may represent an entrance. To S is a D-shaped enclosure (KE083-066----), delineated by a low, turf-covered earth and stone bank, .9m wide and up to .5m high. Internally the structure measures 4.7m x 4.5m.
