What is recorded here
In pasture, adjacent to a cashel (MA093-006001-) in hilly, undulating terrain broken by limestone outcropping.
Relict field walls, enclosed within large modern rectilinear fields to S and W of the cashel, are recorded in an aerial photograph (GSI M 553 -2; Roll 214, pr. 5; SMR file). The walls can be traced within the modern field immediately to S of the cashel as low lines of tumbled stones and boulders. They are fragmentary but appear to have enclosed sub-rectangular field plots (max. dim. 30-50m), generally respecting the natural undulations of the local terrain. In the adjoining modern field to W the relict walls were removed during land reclamation.
