What is recorded here

This pre-bog wall is located on the S side of a small tributary of the Inny river. It comprises a roughly straight N-S line of boulders which stretches for 10m, before disappearing beneath the bog at both ends. It reappears for a short distance just S of the modern road. Intermittent stretches of an intersecting wall are visible at N. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 21. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 28 July 2013
