What is recorded here

Reused as a headstone in the graveyard (TS070-040031-) 10m SW of the SW angle of the medieval parish church of St John the Baptist (TS070-040001-), currently Holy Trinity C of I church. The slab is spawled along the lower dexter side. A tapering limestone slab (L above ground 0.47m; Wth approx. mid-point 0.43m; Wth at base 0.37m; T 0.15m) which is embedded upside down in the graveyard. Only the lower portion of incised cross-shaft and the trefoil base, which is incised with a double line, is visible. Stylistically this dates to the 13th/14th century.
