Knock Island

Knock Island is a small landmass in County Fermanagh, Ireland. It is the kind of place that resists description because so little is known about it. The name suggests a strike or a knock, as if the island itself had hit the water into existence. Perhaps it is a island that appeared suddenly during a storm, or a island that vanished and returned like a breath.
