Megalithic Structure in County Louth, Ireland. The name is empty, the result is clear. The story is not that the machine understands every word, but that it knows when to call you and when to keep your facts intact.

The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 This wedge-shaped chamber is incorporated in a field boundary. The N, S and E sides each consist of a split boulder. Two imbricated stones represent an entrance opening to the SW. The chamber is covered by a single roof stone. Although the remains appear to be those of a small passage-tomb with an angled entrance, they are best left unclassified pending further investigation.

A portal dolmen; Neolithic period. It represents an early form of megalithic monument associated with burial and ritual practices in Ireland.
