Kilmore graveyard in County Kerry holds fourteen rough cross-slabs on an upslope, including the third stone marked in Dunne’s survey. They are not polished showpieces but buried-edge markers, likely placed beside people whose names never reached modern lists. The repeated crosses suggest a community that kept returning to the same hill, cutting stone quickly and trusting the shape to carry what words had dropped.

One of 14 cross-inscribed stones in Kilmore graveyard (KE079-072----) identified by Dunne (2012, 10) who recorded the following; 'Fourteen cross-slabs were recorded in Kilmore during the course of this survey all of which are situated in the upslope area of the old medieval burial ground [KE079-072----]. They are all rough, inscribed slabs'.
