What is recorded here

No visible fort remains at Rathmore, though a shallow depression and scattered stones hint that a ringfort once stood there. The land has been farmed for generations, and any walls or doors have long since broken into the soil. What is left is a suggestion rather than a ruin: a circle imagined from a few surviving markers.

On N-facing slope in reclaimed pastureland. An arc of collapse and wall foundations (Wth 2.4m), in NW corner of a field, was pointed out as the site of a possible 'fort'. This may be the last vestiges of SE sector of an originally almost circular enclosure (D c. 29m).
