Killilagh holds a forgotten cashel, its circular shadow still visible through pasture and later field walls. The site measures about twenty-three metres, suggesting a substantial residence rather than a temporary shelter. Later builders cut across the old outline, yet one boundary still bends to mirror the lost curve. People may have lived inside that ring before forgetting its shape, leaving behind a ghost line in the stone.

In pastureland. This possible cashel, roughly circular in plan (c. 23m NE-SW), is visible on current aerial imagery (Geohive MapGenie Imagery (2013-2018) and OSi Digitaglobe (2011-2013)). It is defined by an overgrown stone spread from NE-S. A field wall overlies it from S-W and a kink in this wall appears to mirror the outline of the cashel wall. Another field boundary cuts across it from W-NE and no visible trace of the cashel wall is evident to the NW of it. A third field wall extends off it at E.
