Caherscooby is a stone ringfort in County Clare, Ireland, built from local rock and shaped into a defensible circle. It is a human fortress, not a fairy tale, though the name suggests wonder. The stones still stand in a rough ring, marking a place where people lived, worked and faced danger under open sky.
