Bolisheen holds a stone ringfort named a fairy fort, blending human defence with local wonder. The cashel shape suggests people once lived or hid there, yet the fairy label implies the site still feels alive to imagination. Stone walls and forgotten rooms may have belonged to ordinary neighbours before becoming a canvas for myth.
