Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Ballycrighan is a stone ringfort, also called a cashel, in County Clare, Ireland. The name suggests people once believed fairies lived there, while the stones show humans built a strong enclosed place. It may have been a home, a refuge or a marker of local authority, and the fairy label may have grown later when its true use faded from memory.
