What is recorded here
Hobartstown West, County Kildare. Aerial photographs reveal a circular fosse, perhaps a forgotten ringfort or barrow, still visible through the soil. Whether it marked a boundary, a burial, or a home, the shape survived every plough and storm that passed it. The land kept the line while human memory faded, proving that even abandoned places resist erasure when their form is strong enough.
Aerial photographs (CUCAP ASU 61, 62) show a cropmark of a fosse of circular enclosure (est. max diam. c. 40m). Possibly barrow or ringfort.
