Fairy fort / ringfort in Bolton — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Fairy forts are a kind of ringfort that can still be seen from above in County Kildare. The circle in Bolton may have been a home, a boundary marker or a place where people gathered when the land was busy. Its size is large enough to hold several buildings, a yard and the ordinary noise of life. The fairies belong in the naming, not the explanation.

Visible on aerial photographs (GSI S134, 135, 176, 177) as a cropmark enclosing a circular area (est. max diam. c. 55m). Probably a ringfort site. Date of upload: 16 September 2016
