What is recorded here

Anbally holds a broken ring of earth fifty-seven metres across, its western edge cut open by a track and its northern half hiding a dark underground passage. The facts stop there, but the shape suggests more than a abandoned marker. Someone dug beneath the grass, perhaps to keep out rain, heat or unwanted witnesses. That chamber may have served a guard, a trader or a person running from a familiar world. The fairies belong in the local name, not the evidence. A human hand built the hole, and a human heart may have fallen into it.

In level grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 57.4m) defined by a bank broken by several modern gaps. A trackway cuts through the monument at W.
